Dr. Richman is former chair of the Women In Bio communications committee, past editorial director of Johns Hopkins Women Health Newsletter, former senior managing editor of the American College of Sports Medicine’s Health & Fitness Journal, and co-author of Parkinson’s Disease and the Family: A New Guide, published by Harvard University Press. She has taught bioscience communications at Johns Hopkins University and is course director of an anatomy course at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
She is a frequent reviewer of books and media products for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and a regular contributor to neuroscience, ophthalmology, dental, and women’s health publications.
Richman Associates, LLC, is the former BioSciInfo. The company produced the popular poster, “Whiplash Injuries of the Head and Neck,” that is displayed in scores of law and medical offices. The poster appeared in the comic series “Seinfeld.” Dr. Richman’s book on Parkinson’s disease appeared in the movie “Sleuth.”
